Silence

We're here with Amiee again. She can't speak, the tumor looks even larger. She writes on the whiteboard we brought her. Her left eye is beginning to close from the growth. Unlike most tumors, this one is visible because it's filling her mouth. She has an infection somewhere now and can't get any more treatment until it clears. Her doctor has one more trick up his sleeve, nexavar, which he'll add to the current treatment of gemzar and taxotere. She's had several others. The taxol was working, and this regimine worked for a couple of weeks but the tumor's getting bigger. We'll wait a day or two and call her Onc. If only she could talk, and eat. Her birthday's a week from today. She'll be 23.
